At the end of 2020, Bojos began a due diligence process to acquire the operating assets of The Recreational Footwear Company ( Timberland plant form VF Corporation) in the Dominican Republic. As a result of this opportunity, and the successful closing of the transaction, the creation of Skysands Footwear Corp arises.

Skysands Footwear Corp started its operations in October 2021 focused on the production of high-quality footwear, initially for the Timberland brand but not exclusively.

Today it has two clients, Timberland & Red Wing Shoes, and continues expanding its client profile.

Historic Timeline

Bojos Leather, today known as Bojos Tanning, was founded in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

Bojos Manufacturing, LTD. was founded. Dedicated to the production of hand-sweing, uppers, boots, ballet slippers, among others.

Bojos Components was founded to provide sole injection and other components.

At the end of 2007, Hurricane Olga struck and destroyed the factory, as flood waters wiped out the business completely.

After two years of being closed, the tannery appears renewed in the market.

Bojos Tanning was awarded “Tannery Of The Year Las Americas”, in Shanghai, competing against the biggest tanneries in the American continent.

The group founds a footwear and component manufacturing company, Skysands Footwear Corp.
